I've always been fascinated (but seldom surprised) how God blesses our lives. The blessing that I have most enjoyed over the years has to do with relationships He bring into our lives. Of course, Jesus is the most important of all relationships, followed by family. But one of the most pleasing is the relationships within God's Church. On the way home from serving as a Student missionary in Hawaii in 1962, I had the privilege of stopping in the Orient to see some of our Southern Baptist missionaries. I had never met any of them before, in fact, I didn't even know their names until I met them. But what precious friendships they were. I felt as if I had known them for years.

     You at Grace Baptist have been gracious like that; I feel welcomed - at home with you. Linda and I look forward to our time with you. Sunday was a good day together in Bible Study and Worship. You made up (and more) the offering we had missed because of being snowed out. Then we had Kim and Andy's baby shower and you showed how gracious you are all over again.

WMU FOCUS WEEK
FEBRUARY 14-21, 2010

 Breakfast in the fellowship hall will be sponsored by the WMU on February 21, 2010.
   The GA's will have a display of the ongoing study of missions and missionaries, please take time to look at their table in the fellowship hall.

   Although the WMU does not have an active. monthly group we do try and stress the ongoing mission activities of Bible study and or Department groups.

   In December of 2009 the Dorcas Bible study class gave money to three different agencies, one went to another country, two stayed in Buncombe County. We also filled a Red Box for the Buncombe Baptist Association project.

   In January three of our church members prepared food for the BSU at UNCA and Angel Food gave $200 for the Relief in Haiti.

   If you or your department has been busy with missions work please let me know, we want to show that missions are still alive in Grace Baptist Church.
